The ATEX Chain Block is by design an anti-spark chain block for use specifically in hazardous environments and some of the key features are as follows:

  • ATEX anti-spark chain block for use in hazardous environments.
  • In accordance with: ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
  • Specific internal components corrosion protected.
  • Copper plated parts include top and bottom hook assemblies, chain end anchor, chain stripper, roller guides and hand wheel.
  • Fitted with stainless steel hand chain material 316L.
  • Supplied with EN818-7 zinc plated load chain as standard with an option for stainless steel Grade 6 load chain upon application.
  • Available with Stainless Steel load chain as an option.
  • Body cover epoxy powder coated.
  • Standard Range 0.5 - 5 tonne (Other sizes available upon request).
  • Meet and exceed the requirements of international standards:
  • British Standard BS EN13157:2004 + AI:2009.
  • American Standard ASME B30.16-2012.
  • Australian Standard AS1418.2-1997.
  • South African Standard SANS 1594:2007.
  • NORSOK R-002: 2017.
