These options of floor crane provide Hydraulic powered lifting (12v DV Hydraulic power pack) and electric drive motors for effortless propulsion of goods and equipment making for an extremely maneuverable version of what would otherwise be very heavy and awkward. There are many additional features that can be added to the design to convert the standard powered counterbalance option / range of floor cranes into your perfect manual handling assistant. They can be supplied fully manufactured from stainless steel.

General Safety Instructions

• Do not ride on this unit
• Do not lift people.
• user must be competent.
• Do not move with a high load suspended. (load should be just clear off the ground).
• Do not use on slopes or inclines or rough ground .
• Insure you have read and understood the instruction manual before using the counterbalance crane.

Floor Cranes With Spark Resistant Features / Explosion proof.

For Floor cranes to be used in potentially explosive areas / atmospheres such as Zone 1 or 2, SELS can include any anti-sparking features that our customers specify - this will increase its anti-sparking properties and therefore make the crane more suitable for use in a potentially explosive environment!

SELS will not to take the responsibility of supplying our floor cranes described as 'spark proof' as this is ‘too broad’ a term. We believe that total compliance is probably impossible because of the mechanical operation and movement of a floor crane; i.e. we cannot offer a 100% guarantee that no part of the assembly is capable of generating a spark which could ignite a flame!  IE: SELS will supply / manufacture cranes with anti sparking features to our customer’s requirements though will not certified them as sparkproof / explosion proof. Our cranes have been successfully supplied to customers in the offshore Oil and Gas industry in the UK on this basis.

Counter Balanced Floor Crane with Power Lift Only (Not Power Driven)

This option of floor crane provides powered lifting of goods and equipment though still remaining manually maneuvered; this is an enhancement to the standard counterbalance range of floor cranes and can be supplied fully manufactured from stainless steel. We can supply our floor cranes with electric power lift, with manual lift (hydraulic hand pump) or any other combination such as power driven and power drive to suit the customers individual requirements. For occasional use the additional cost may not be justified though if you are lifting and moving heavy loads with your counterbalanced floor crane or if you are using it often or repeatedly then power lift may not only save time it will also increase productivity and reduce or eliminate the possibility of manual handling injury or repetitive strain injury.

Power-Lift and/or Power Drive Counterbalance Floor Crane

We can supply our floor cranes with power propulsion and power lift to suit the customers individual requirements. For  occasional use the extra cost may be difficult to justify though if you are lifting and moving heavy loads on a regular basis for example in a production environnement  then the addition of power lift and or power travel may save time and money, increase productivity and reducing or eliminate the possibility of manual handling injury or repetitive strain injuries. We can also supply this option for crane made from stainless steel.

Inside the Ballast Box

Three Position Switch

Position 1. Charge
Position 2. Off
Position 3. Lift
To charge the crane plug the battery charger into the multi-pole connector select position 1 on switch charging light on battery charger will come on.

Valve Controls

When precise lifting and lowering is required close restriction valves, this valve will slow the ascent and descent of the jib.
