Corrosion-Protected Chain Hoist with Built-in Trolley
The William Hackett Combined Block and Chain Hoists are designed, manufactured, and proof load tested in the United Kingdom to ensure full compliance with applicable standards and to deliver consistently high levels of quality, safety, and reliability. Each unit is supplied as a fully assembled and ready-to-use system, reducing installation time and ensuring correct configuration from first use.
As part of the combined design, the standard top hook of the chain hoist is removed and replaced with a bespoke engineered hanging plate. This hanging plate is specifically designed to interface directly with the trolley suspension bars, allowing the hoist to be securely supported by the trolley body rather than suspended below it via a hook. This configuration significantly reduces lost headroom, making the combined block and trolley assembly particularly suitable for applications where vertical clearance is limited.
The combined hoist assemblies are fully compatible with both the William Hackett WH PT Push Trolleys and WH GT Geared Trolleys, providing flexibility across a wide range of load capacities and operational requirements. This compatibility ensures smooth and controlled travel along the beam, whether manual push operation or geared traverse is required.

Key Hoist Features
- Standards: British Standard BS EN 13157:2004 + AI:2009
- Proof Tested: 1.5 x WLL.
- Safety factor: 4:1.
- Temperature range: -40°C to +120°C.
- Track width range: 70mm to 305mm (2.8 inches to 12.0 inches). Trolleys available with standard (range 1) or extended (range 2) trolley bars to fit a range of beam widths.
- End stops: Fitted as standard.
- Anti-tilt: Can be fitted as an optional extra.
- Attachment: Hanging plate fitted into corrosion-protected chain hoist.
- Surface Coating Protection:
- Chain Hoist SS-C4 QP - Paint finish: Marine Paint 3-layer to ISO12944 Category C5.
- Trolley - Corrosion Protected - Paint finish: Marine Paint 3-layer to ISO12944 Category C5.
- Trolley wheels, bars, spacers and nuts - Sherardising to ISO17668:2016 Class 30.
- Chains:
- Hoist load chain: Corrosion-protected Grade 8 load chain offered as standard, with the option of calibrated Grade S (6) 316L stainless steel load chain and bottom hook (stainless steel bottom hooks are only available for 500kg and 1 tonne units).
- Hand chain: Optional upgrade to 316L stainless steel from the standard hand chain.
