Crane Fork Safety Cage
The Crane Fork or Brick Forks Cage is the safest way to ensure complete integrity of your load whilst lifting with a standard crane fork. If you don’t want the expense of a forklift truck and need a more practical alternative for confined spaces, this will tick all of your boxes.
The crane fork basket has been specifically manufactured to work with the 2000kg TKG-VHS Self Levelling Crane Forks & TKG-VH Manual Balancing crane forks (sold separately!).
Although the crane forks are heavy-duty, loads may become loose and fall from height. Using the crane forks in conjunction with the crane fork basket allows for complete peace of mind.
The crane fork cage is designed as an alternative to a normal forklift, but with additional safety and uses a crane to lift loads into position using a single lifting point.
Nothing will ever fall, and the entire contents will be safe and secure.
The basket can be loaded and unloaded from two sides, meaning that the crane fork doesn't have to be removed in order for you to remove the contents within. The low gradient heavy-duty ramp can be used to load pallets with a standard pallet truck.
The mesh sides allow users to ensure stability of contents prior to opening the door, after lifting may have caused damage or movement.

General Instructions
Load the pallet using the folding ramp at the front or the swinging door at the rear. Ensure the pallet does not obstruct the doors' closing.
Adjust the fork tines to the maximum setting and secure using locating pins. Do not attempt to use any other setting.
Insert the crane fork into the forklift pockets at the rear of the basket, ensuring they are fully inserted. Close the door & secure.
Secure both doors using the fasteners located on each side, top & bottom.
The basket can now be lifted using a suitable lifting device via the crane fork inside the basket. Note: Follow crane fork safe use instructions.
After lifting the basket to the desired location, unload the pallet using the front or rear door with the crane fork or a pallet/forklift truck.
The basket can now be lifted away from the destination.
Note: The Basket can be lifted empty. The basket should be level at all times.
Important Note: The capacity of this basket is 1600kg to take into account the tare weight of the basket, which is 400kg. The crane fork is rated for a 2000kg overall capacity.
