The Yale VSIII (VS 3) hand chain hoist (chain block) is an innovative further development introduced by Yale. The improved hand chain guide prevents tilting or jamming of the hoist's hand chain, leading to a smooth running of the chain.
High-quality bearings on hoist side plates, gearbox and load chain sheave ensure smooth operation of the load chain and drive pinion. Optimised hand forces set standards for easy operation.

Optional Chain Collector Bag
Important: Any Yale chain block with a length of load chain above 6 metres must incorporate a chain collector to ensure functionality of the hoist's brake.
The Next Level Up from The VSIII Chain Block
The VSIII is Yale's entry-level chain block with all of the standard features that you would expect to see on a general-use manual hoist, but they also offers a more unique hoist too, one with a hand chain wheel that can rotate through 360 degrees. This unique feature can allow operation of the hoist from above the hoist, for example. This hoist is the YaleLift 360, which is also more customisable; for example, it can be supplied with Atex certification, corrosion-resistant or with stainless steel chains.
There are also direct trolley-mounted versions of the Yalelift 360 that aren't available for the VSIII, where the hoist does not have a top suspension hook, but is instead directly mounted to a beam trolley. There is a plain travel trolley version (Yalelift ITP) and a geared travel (driven by the pulling of a secondary hand chain), the Yalelift ITG. Because there is no top hook on the hoist, this creates a low-headroom hoist design.
