The capacity options available across the Yale CPE electric hoist range are as follows, which are all also available with single or dual lifting speeds; 1.6t, 2t, 2.5t, 3t, 3.2t, 4t, 5t, 7.5t and 10 tonne, all of which are available with various different suspension options such as hook suspension or by beam trolley, which can be manual or electric.

If you are looking for a good quality electric hoist, but a little less heavy-duty than the CPE, the Yale CPV might be just the hoist that you are looking for. The CPV is available in capacities from 250kg up to 5 tonnes, with many of the same optional features that you find on the CPE, but at a more budget-friendly price.

Standard CPE Hoist Features

• Classification 1 Am, except models CPE(F) 20-8, CPE(F) 30-5 and CPE(F) 40-4 classification 1 Bm.
• The standard version comes with direct control.
• 1-year warranty (excluding wear parts) as well as a lifetime lubricated gearbox.
• The motor is fitted with bimetallic thermal protection (usable in connection with optional low-voltage control).
• Duty cycle 40% at one operating speed.
  The heavy-duty squirrel cage motor has an adjustable spring pressure brake that holds the load secure even in the event of a power failure.
• Motor protected to IP 54, insulation class F. Encapsulated pendant control protected to IP 65.
• Standard operating voltage: Euro-voltage 400 Volt 3-phase 50 Hz. Other voltages, such as 415V/3Ph/60Hz, are available on request.
• The 5-pocket load chain sheave, manufactured from wear-resistant case-hardening steel, is precisely matched to the load chain to ensure smooth and precise chain motion.
• The assembly of component parts results in a low overall height (up to 3000 kg, only one chain fall).
• The standard oil bath lubricated planetary gearbox runs particularly smoothly.
• Forged suspension and load hooks, manufactured from non-ageing, high alloy tempering steel, yield under overload instead of breaking.
• All requirements of national and international standards and regulations are fulfilled.

The Yale CPE Hoist and Yale CPE/F Hoist Suspension Types

• Top Hook Suspension.
• Push Travel Beam Trolley.
• Geared Travel Beam Trolley.
• Single Speed Electric Travel Beam Trolley - Yale VTE-U 11 m/min. Similar to the Yale VTE trolley, but with direct mounting instead of a shackle for hook-suspended hoists.
• Dual Speed Electric Travel Beam Trolley - Yale VTE/F-U 11/2.8 m/min.

The hoist can be connected directly to a trolley with an electric drive. Manual pull and geared trolleys are also available.

Please note that chain collectors/containers offered shown are for linear metres of chain and are not the height of lift based. E.g. a 20-metre chain container for a 4-fall 10t CPE would only be adequate to suit a 5-metre height of lift (4 x 5-metre drops of chain).

What's the difference between a Yale CPE Hoist and a Yale CPEF Hoist?

The Yale CPE hoist is a single-speed electric hoist, whereas the CPEF or CPE/F is twin/dual speed with 1 fast speed and 1 slow speed. What these speeds are is dependent on the capacity of the hoist itself. e.g. the 1.6-tonne unit with dual lifting speeds would have a fast speed of 8 m/min and a slow speed of 2 m/min, whereas the 10-tonne CPEF would have a 2.5 m/min fast speed and a 0.6 m/min slow speed.
