Geared Travel Trolley-Hoist Combination
The William Hackett combined chain hoists and geared travel (hand chain drive) beam trolleys are designed, manufactured and proof load tested in the UK.
Supplied as a complete assembled unit, the top hook is removed from the chain hoist and is replaced with a bespoke hanging plate, which allows the bars on the trolley to suspend the hoist and reduce the closed height or headroom of the hoist. This type of hoist is often more favoured in areas where clearances are restricted and maximised raised hook heights are required.
This version, the WH C4 CH GT is the geared travel variant, but a plain push travel trolley version is also available, the WH C4 CH PT. The push travel version doesn't have the second hand chain that drives the beam trolley movement; it only has a single hand chain, which controls the raising and lowering of the hoist hook.
The hoist and trolley are classified as a single, integrated unit, sharing a single serial number, which reduces the number of assets to manage.
These units are designed for use with runway beams and are well-suited to factory and manufacturing environments for lifting and traversing dies, molds, and tooling.

- Track width range: 70mm - 305mm (2.8 inches to 12 inches). Trolleys available with standard (range 1) or extended (range 2) trolley bars to fit a range of beam widths.
- End stops: Fitted as standard.
- Anti-tilt: Fitted as an optional extra.
- Attachment: Hanging plate fitted into the chain hoist.
