Hand Chain Block from ALR
Designed for demanding lifting environments, this manual chain hoist combines robust construction with advanced safety features to deliver reliable performance in industrial and heavy-duty applications. Reinforced cast-steel safety latches on both the top and bottom hooks provide a secure, positive hook closure, while clearly visible overload indicators and traceability markings support straightforward inspection, identification, and compliance procedures.
Built with serviceability in mind, the hook housings are secured using bolt-and-nut assemblies, allowing full internal inspection access whenever required. The unit is also engineered for cross-hauling and fleeting applications of up to 60° from vertical without reducing the working load limit, offering greater operational flexibility in complex lifting scenarios.
The hoist is fitted with a Grade 80 alloy steel load chain manufactured in accordance with EN818-7, complete with a zinc finish for enhanced corrosion resistance and long-term durability. Optional upgrades, including overload limiters, ball-bearing hooks, and adaptor fittings, are available to accommodate specialised lifting requirements and attachment configurations.
Engineered to perform in challenging environments, the hoist operates within a temperature range of -20°C to +120°C and is proof load tested to 1.5 times the Working Load Limit, with a 4:1 safety factor as standard. Designed and manufactured in compliance with major international standards, including BS EN13157, ASME B30.16, AS1418.2, SANS 1594, and NORSOK R-002, it delivers dependable lifting performance across global industrial sectors.
