We offer this as our top-of-the-range folding workshop floor crane available in 6 optional safe working loads: 250kg, 500kg, 750kg, 1000kg, 1500kg and 2000kg capacities. The crane is in a different quality league to most of the inferior specification alternatives that are available from other manufacturers and those that are imported.
This range of mobile folding floor cranes offers quality and reliability to the industrial marketplace looking for professional lifting solutions.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, this is a space-saving fold-away crane for use in many applications, from garages or workshops to industrial factories and offshore.
When supplied for offshore use, we can supply with anti-sparking features (some refer to as spark-proof or ATEX suitable). The truth is that we can supply all the anti-sparking features that the end user requires/specifies, for example, stainless steel, bronze bushing, load hook, pivot pins, etc. and anti-static castors.
All cranes are made individually, and the design may be changed according to your required specification.
General arrangement drawings will be issued for approval on receipt of your order for non-standard designs. For standard crane dimensional specifications, please see the Downloads tab above.
This is a made-to-order folding floor crane, so please contact us if the dimensions are not suitable for your requirements or if you need any other enhancements or features - we have the capability to provide special bespoke floor cranes.
Floor Cranes with Spark Resistant Features / Explosion-proof.
For Floor cranes to be used in potentially explosive areas/atmospheres such as Zone 1 or 2, SELS can include any anti-sparking features that our customers specify - this will increase its anti-sparking properties and therefore make the crane more suitable for use in a potentially explosive environment.
SELS will not take the responsibility of supplying our floor cranes described as 'spark proof' as this is ‘too broad’ a term. We believe that total compliance is probably impossible because of the mechanical operation and movement of a floor crane; i.e. we cannot offer a 100% guarantee that no part of the assembly is capable of generating a spark which could ignite a flame. ie, SELS will supply/manufacture cranes with anti-sparking features to our customers’ requirements, though will not certify them as sparkproof / explosion proof. Our cranes have been successfully supplied to customers in the offshore Oil and Gas industry in the UK on this basis.
We offer 6 optional capacities including 250kg, 500kg, 750kg, 1 tonne, 1.5 tonne and 2 tonne. These stainless cranes are more costly than our standard mild steel painted units, and all are made to order. Being completely manufactured here in the UK, we can modify the design to any special requirement that you may have, SWL or physical size.
Designed and manufactured in England, this is a space-saving fold-away crane for use in environments that require the unique corrosion-resistant properties of stainless steel; we sell stainless cranes mainly for use on offshore oil and gas platforms and for pharmaceutical use. Most users would prefer stainless, though the cost is much greater, so the added benefit must be great enough to justify the additional cost. For example, when a crane is used offshore, reliability (through lack of corrosion) may mean that a crane is still in working order (as opposed to seized with rust) when needed for a production or safety-critical breakdown. In this scenario, 'downtime' can be very expensive, as can shipping in a replacement crane. Another good example where the cost can easily be justified would be where a mild steel crane could cause contamination, for example, by flaking paint or rust and contaminating a process in the pharmaceutical or food production industries, possibly affecting human health.
We can supply our stainless cranes with anti-sparking features for use in sparkproof or ATEX environments. We offer bronze bushings, bronze load hooks, bronze pivot pins, etc and anti-static castors or any other anti-sparking feature specified by the client.
All stainless floor cranes are made to order. Contact us if the dimensions are not suitable, and we would be pleased to provide special bespoke designs!
