Guard load arrestors provide a secondary safety back-up for overhead loads, to arrest a falling load in the event of a failure on the primary lifting/suspension device. Range from 150kg to 1500kg.

Guard Load Arrest Series of Load Arrestors

Globestock Guard load arrestors are heavy-duty fall arrest blocks for protecting a load, be it machinery, materials or equipment that is suspended at height.

A load arrestor provides a secondary safety back-up/fall protection means for overhead loads, used in conjunction with a primary lifting device or support, such as a hoist or fixed anchorage. If the primary support fails, the load arrestor will automatically arrest to stop a falling load, thereby preventing damage to the load and, more importantly, protecting people below.

Guard load arrest arrestors have a high-strength retractable rope that extracts and retracts, following the movement of the load. This means Guards can be fitted to equipment that needs to be moved (dynamic loads), as well as to non-moving (static) loads.

Maximum Working Load (MWL) options: 150, 300, 500, 800, 1000 or 1500 kg

Throughout the industry, riggers and installers are using UK-made Guard load arrestors as load securing devices for safeguarding lighting and sound equipment that is suspended above people. Guard load arrestors are being increasingly utilised under EN17206:2020 as a secondary safeguard for entertainment technology.

Industrial Usage Examples of Guard Load Arrestors

Load arrestors provide fall protection for equipment. There are a huge number of applications where load arrestors may be deployed across a range of industries.

Do you lift or suspend equipment that cannot be allowed to drop? If so, you should consider installing a Guard load arrest device as a safeguard in case the primary lifting equipment fails.

If your primary load-bearing equipment fails, a Guard load arrestor will automatically stop the load from falling, thereby preventing damage to the materials and, more importantly, protecting anybody below.
