LIFTINGSAFETY

Yale "UNOplus Series A Utility" Ratchet Lever Hoist / Pull-Lift. Range from 1500kg to 6000kg

Economical, versatile, robust and compact design, fitted with an automatically acting safety device, which offers even more security when used in overhead line construction or similar areas.

Model:

UNOplus-Series A UT / YULH-5147

The UNOplus - Series A UT ratchet lever hoist is the result of further technical development of the UNOplus (now discontinued) and UNOplus Series A, which has proven itself over many years.

The versatile tool for lifting, pulling and securing of loads is characterised by its compact design, robust stamped steel construction and the smoothly running free chaining device. The further reduced weight optimizes operation, makes the application even more comfortable and the UNOplus - Series A to a convenient, versatile device.

  • Compact & transportable.
  • Universally usable & user friendly.
  • Lightweight
  • Can be use in the smallest areas.

What are the main differences between the UNO-Plus and the UNO-Plus Series A?

  • 25% lighter in weight. The 1500kg is now 9.2kg compared to 12.5kg on the old unit.
  • New and improved, enclosed pressed steel chain guide.
  • Vastly improved design of handwheel using durable composite material.
  • Utilises the same chain as the YaleERGO360.
  • Bottom hook is now bolted as opposed to riveted to allow easier inspection of the hook.
  • New non-slip rubber handle grip.
  • Extremely smooth and easier to use free chaining.

Easy to Use

Due to optimized gearing and improved bearings in the housing cover a minimum effort is required to operate the short hand lever.

Rugged Design

Impact resistant stamped steel frame and gear cover withstands repeated rigorous use.

Load Pressure Brake

Even today, the load pressure brake, based on the principle of Thomas Weston’s patent of 1875, is still used in our manual hoists.

Corrosion Protection

Robust chain guide, chain stripper and parts of the brake are zinc-plated and yellow-chromated for corrosion protection.

Reliable Load Guidance

The load chain runs in the load sheave and is secured against unintentional slipping by the closed chain guide.

Non Slip Rubber Lever Grip

Comfortable rubber grip provides for extra protection against slippage.

East & Smooth Free Chaining

For quick take up and positioning of slack chain – even with one hand. Designed not to accidentally free chain while under load. Cast chain end stop allows the user to easily position the chain in free-chaining mode and prevents it from entering the lift wheel and jamming the hoist.

Easy to Inspect Swivel Hooks

Bolt on hooks with nyloc nuts simplify the inspection process. Hooks are forged, allowing them to yield under overload without breaking. Cast safety latches provide positive and secure load engagement.

The UT (Utility) Part

Special applications such as overhead line construction require specialist lifting equipment.

In accordance with EN 1808 - Safety requirements for suspended access equipment, 8.9.2, the new 'UNOplus Series A Utility' is supplied fitted with an automatically acting safety device, which offers even more security when used in overhead line construction or similar areas.

The automatic locking safety device prevents a sudden drop (patent pending). It guarantees permanent monitoring and is active during operation as well as during inactive moments without the user having to activate it. In case of emergency, i.e. after failure of the load pressure brake and consequently exceeding the specified speed, the safety gear will automatically activate.

It safely absorbs the load, preventing the creation of larger dynamic forces which could cause further damage.
