Similar to the RGK11, the RGK88 has a large gate opening, aluminium captive eye safety hook, normally fitted to fall arrest lanyards for quick clipping onto scaffold or steel structures.

The double action snap closure on this device means that it cannot be accidentally opened, but allows a quick operation

The RKG88 is commonly used on twin leg lanyards like the RGK11, but it slightly heavier due to increased gate strength as required by ANSI standards.
