Corrosion-Protected Offshore Lifting Point: OS.DSS

The OS.DSS universal swivelling offshore shackle is a specially coated (zinc lamellar), corrosion-protected version of the standard DSS double swivel lifting ring.

It is designed for rotations under load, and its double swivel ensures perfect alignment with the sling because the lifting point can swivel 180° and also has a rotating range of 360°.

DSS offshore lifting rings have a safety factor of 4 and 5, which means that their breaking load is four or five times greater than the capacity indicated in the technical sheet. 

OS DSS Features

  • Standard GRADUP lifting eye bolts with a total zinc lamellar coating, giving added corrosion protection for outdoor and offshore use.
  • Standard metric and UNC threads available:
    • M24 to M42 - WLL from 4.5t to 15t
    • UNC 1" to UNC 1-3/4" - WLL from 10,000 lbs to 33,000 lbs
    • Alternative thread forms are available, BSW, 8UN, etc. Please contact us for more information
  • Safety factor: 4:1 and 5:1
  • Movement: 360° rotation - 180° swivel
  • Complies with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE
  • Manufactured in compliance with the EN 1677-1 norm
