The Standard Headroom Air Hoist
The William Hackett Standard Headroom Air Hoist is a heavy-duty, compressed-air-powered chain hoist designed for demanding industrial lifting applications. It meets EN 14492-2 and other international standards, and incorporates a grease-filled epicyclic gearbox for long service life with minimal maintenance.
Users can choose from several control options, including pull cord, pilot pendant with emergency stop, or direct pendant control, all offering variable-speed operation.
The hoist is equipped with a fully automatic multi-disc brake, an overload limiter calibrated at 130% of the working load, and a galvanised Grade 8 load chain, with optional upgrades such as stainless steel chains and hooks, as well as marine grade finishes for offshore environments.
Additional safety and durability features include high-quality alloy steel hooks with safety latches and a spark-resistant body suitable for ATEX Zone 2 applications, with Zone 1 available on request.
The Low-Headroom Air Hoist
The William Hackett Low Headroom Air Hoist is specifically designed for environments with restricted vertical space, offering the same reliable performance in a more compact form factor.
It features a 100% duty cycle, galvanised Grade 8 chain to EN 818 standards, and high-grade alloy hooks with safety catches. Safety is further enhanced through its automatic, self-adjusting multi-disc brake and an overload protection system set at 130% of the safe working load.
The hoist also includes built-in anti-climb and anti-drop mechanisms and is suitable for hazardous or explosive atmospheres due to its spark-resistant ATEX Zone 2 construction. Its robust build ensures dependable operation in temperature ranges from −20°C to +70°C, with high resistance to dust and humidity.
