Weld-on hooks provide a quick, cost-effective method of creating a certified lifting point (after load testing by a suitably competent person) and have numerous applications; one of the main applications is to be welded to the lifting arm of an excavator - hence the name excavator hook! They are though used in all areas of mobile plant and heavy industry.
The Yoke Excavator hook is a lifting hook that can be welded on to any suitably strong steel anchorage - remember, the supporting structure must also be strong enough and stable enough to support the load to be lifted.
