The RGK1 is Ridgegear's most popular karabiner that is mainly used for rope access or fall arrest applications, but it is also used in the leisure industry for caving and rescue.

The screw gate closure on this device means that the user must manually lock the RGK1 keeper after fitting.

For a lightweight version of the RGK1, there is the RGK1/A aluminium karabiner as an equivalent, where every little bit of weight counts.
