Multi-Sec - Engineered Lifting Systems

Multi-Sec Multi-Point Lifting Beam or Spreader Beam

The Multi-Sec Multi-Point Lifting Beam (MP Series) is a versatile and reconfigurable lifting system designed for a wide range of lifting applications. Its modular construction allows the beam to be quickly assembled and configured to suit different load arrangements, providing a flexible solution for both straightforward vertical lifts and more complex lifting operations.

Designed for ease of use without compromising performance, each beam section is fitted with fork pockets for transportation with a forklift truck.

Reconfigurable Multi-Point Lifting Beam

Designed for maximum versatility, the Multi-Sec lifting beam can be configured to accommodate different lifting requirements. This makes it suitable for applications where load dimensions, lifting points or configurations may vary, helping to provide a practical and efficient solution without the need for multiple fixed lifting beams.

Versatile Lifting Beam for Complex Applications

The multi-point lifting beam is particularly well suited to complex lifting operations where flexibility and accurate load positioning are important. Its adaptable design allows different configurations to be created to suit the specific requirements of the lift, making the Multi-Sec system a useful solution across a variety of industrial lifting applications.

With capacities up to 300 tonnes and spans up to 12 metres, the Multi-Sec Multi-Point Beam provides a safe, adaptable, and precise lifting solution for projects ranging from smaller assemblies to large, complex lifts.

Lifting Configurations - 3 Choices

Centre Point Lifting

Centre Point Config

Lifting from the single central upper eye to any two or more of the lower suspension points.

In the centre point lift configuration, the Multi-Sec Multi-Point Lifting Beam is used as a 3m or 6m beam and lifted from a single central top lifting point. This configuration provides a compact solution ideal for vertical lifts where space or headroom is limited. The load is connected to multiple lower lifting points, allowing for even lifting of compact or symmetrical loads.

On the MP13, MP25, MP34 and MP50, the standard lengths for each section are 3 metres or 6 metres, with 6 metres being the maximum span for the lifting beam configuration (MP-13 to MP-50)

For the MP100, the section length options are 6 metres or 11.5 metres, and for the MP300, 10 metres is the only standard section length available.

Please note that lifting from the single centre lifting point on an MP-100 lifting beam with spans greater than 6.5 metres incurs a reduction in the rated lifting capacity.

The MP-100 6 metre section (MP100 - 11.5m varies) and the MP-300 are rated to their full 100 tonne or 300 tonne respective capacity through all lower spans in the lifting beam configuration. The MP-100 requires a capacity reduction as the lower suspension point spans increase between 6.5 and 11.5 metres.

Please refer to the load charts below for more information.

Spreader Beam Setup

Spreader Config

Lifting from two upper suspension points and two lower suspension points in parallel positions (upper matching lower positions). Lifting sling angles must be within 30° to the vertical - STV, Sling To Vertical.

In spreader beam configuration, the Multi-Sec Multi-Point Lifting Beam can be used in a 3m, 6m, 3m + 6m (max 9m span) or 3m+6m+3m (max 12m span) configuration. Angled top slings connect to top lifting points to match bottom spans at two positions. This allows for a single beam set-up to achieve multiple lifting spans depending on the load being lifted. A spreader configuration is suitable for a standard 2-point lift.

Please note that when used in a modular format (3+6 or 3+6+3 metres), the rated lifting capacity is subject to a reduction. Refer to the load charts below for more information.

Semi-Spreader Setup

Semi Spreader Config

Lifting from two offset upper suspension points and two lower suspension points (upper and lower in different positions). Lifting sling angles must be within 30° to the vertical - STV, Sling To Vertical.

In a semi-spreader beam configuration, the Multi-Sec Multi-Point Lifting Beam can be used in a 3m, 6m, 3m + 6m (max 9m span) or 3m+6m+3m (max 12m span) configuration. Angled top slings connect to top lifting points that are offset from the top lifting points. This allows for low-headroom lifting of loads that need to be lifted at two opposing ends or at multiple points along the length of the beam, allowing for more flexibility.

Please see the load charts below for more information about maximum capacity ratings at the various possible spans.

Lifting Shackles

Because these beams can be used in both lifting beam and spreader beam formats (when lifting from the single central lifting point, a larger shackle is required), lifting shackles are not supplied as standard, but can be supplied on request.
