Overslung Man Cage with Transportation Fork Pockets

Supplied complete with lifting chains, one safety harness (and lanyard) and overhead guard.

This main basket has been designed to be used either slung from the hook of an overhead crane or similar.

UKCA and CE certified, delivered with an EC Declaration of Conformity as standard.

All cage models are supplied with a 4-legged brother (chain sling) with a master link size of 150mm x 80mm. 

Fork pockets are for the transportation of the cage only.

Alternative custom one-off designs are also possible, for example, with different platform sizes, entry means or gate position, etc.

4 Person Basket - Entry Through Side Gate - 550-T20135

Unit is a 2-man gated access platform as per the enclosed photo. It is designed for use by either an overhead crane or a similar device. 

  • The platform has a safe working load of 500kg and is a 4-man basket.
  • The overall base size of the unit is 1500mm wide x 1100mm deep.
  • The unit will have a fully meshed back panel, and the three other sides will be meshed to the middle rail.
  • Entry to the platform is via an inward-opening gate on one 1100mm side. The gate is self-closing and has a gate arrester to prevent the gate from being opened when the platform is elevated.
  • The unit is made from mild steel material and painted yellow
  • Conforms to BS 14502.

6 Person Basket - Entry Through Side Gate - 550-T20136 / 550-T21238

Unit is a 6-man gated access platform similar in design to our standard 4-person side gate model.

It is designed for use by either an overhead crane or a similar machine. 

  • The platform has a safe working load of 600kg and is a 6-man access platform.
  • The overall base size of the unit is 1500mm wide x 1200mm deep (T20136) or 2000mm wide x 1200mm deep (T21238).
  • The unit will have a fully meshed back panel, and the three other sides will be meshed to the middle rail.
  • We will supply the unit with a 500mm wide inwards opening gate on one 1200mm side.
  • Conforms to BS 14502.
