We supply a comprehensive range of lightweight, portable davit lifting arms, including:
The split pole configuration is particularly effective where fixed obstructions must be worked around. Owing to their compact design, these davits are well-suited to confined spaces and restricted-access lifting environments.
To support compliance with manual handling regulations, our davit arms are manufactured in three modular sections. This sectional design ensures ease of transport, especially where the davit is required across multiple locations.
Key features include:
Many clients opt to permanently install multiple davit sockets at required workstations. A single davit arm can then be transported between sockets, providing a cost-effective and flexible lifting solution.
Our lightweight davit lifting arms are primarily manufactured from galvanised mild steel, with alternative material options available:
Suitable for:
All special davit arm jib cranes can be manufactured to customer-specified height of lift and reach requirements.
To maintain structural integrity, we recommend the following working parameters:
| Safe Working Load (SWL) | Maximum Recommended Radius (Reach) |
|---|---|
| 500 kg | 1800 mm |
| 1000 kg | 1200 mm |
Maximum lifting eye height: Up to 3000 mm
These figures serve as general guidance. Where project requirements fall outside these parameters, we invite submission of detailed specifications for review. Bespoke designs can be engineered where reduced SWL is acceptable in exchange for increased reach.
Our davit jib arms can be configured for:
For general material handling, units are available up to 1000 kg SWL.
Available lifting equipment options include:
Equipment selection can be tailored to suit the operational environment, including hazardous or corrosive conditions.
We can supply hoists and winches to virtually any specification. Popular chain hoist models are available under our dedicated hand chain hoist category.
Where specific operational requirements exist, we offer tailored solutions, including:
The products of Selby Engineering and Lifting Safety are widely specified by engineers and project designers worldwide.
Our davit sockets are extensively deployed across:
With extensive experience in the design and manufacture of bespoke davits and socket systems, we offer multiple socket configurations to suit varied applications. Detailed drawings and technical information are available upon request.
