The SDFLEX Ladder Lifeline is a high-performance fall arrest system designed to enhance safety for those working at height. This advanced, guided-type fall arrester features a tensioned 8 mm diameter wire rope, which acts as a sturdy anchor line for reliable protection. The system is equipped with a self-locking mechanism, a guiding facility, and a shock-absorbing component, all of which work together to securely connect the user's full-body harness to the anchor line. This innovative design enables users to safely climb up and down a vertical ladder, minimising the risk of falls and injuries.

Compliant with EN 353-1+A1:2017 and Regulation (EU) 2016/425, the SDFLEX Ladder Lifeline meets rigorous safety standards, ensuring top-tier performance and security.

Lifting Safety offers the SDFLEX Ladder Lifeline in complete kits, designed to fit ladders of varying heights — specifically up to 10 m, 20 m, and 30 m. For longer ladder solutions, we're happy to provide customised options upon request. Each kit includes all necessary components for easy installation on securely anchored ladders.

Each SDFlex Ladder Lifeline Kit Includes

  • 1 x fall arrest device*
  • 8 mm diameter AISI 316 grade stainless steel wire rope
  • Tensioner
  • Universal brackets and all fixings are tailored to suit the specific height of the vertical ladder

* Additional guided fall arrester travellers/sliders/shuttles can be purchased separately, allowing for further customisation of your safety setup; however, the system is only suitable for a single user with a maximum weight (including tools and equipment) of 100kg and with a minimum weight of 50kg, excluding tools and equipment.

It is important to note that all components of the SDFLEX Ladder Lifeline kits are manufactured from AISI 316 grade stainless steel, a material renowned for its exceptional resistance to corrosion in a variety of environments. These kits are compatible with both new and existing ladder installations, including those equipped with hoops or cages. The universal brackets included in the kit fit all ladder rungs.

Each kit features a fall arrest device that connects directly to the user’s full-body harness. This allows users to ascend or descend the ladder while keeping both hands free for support. In the event of a fall, the device automatically halts the descent and minimises the forces experienced by the user.
