Sit harnesses provide fall protection with less restrictive movement than a full body harness and are commonly the harness of choice for rope access workers, sports climbers, tree surgeons, and the rescue services. Sit harnesses are generally certified to EN360 for the fall arrest protection and EN358 to allow work positioning though with most should you bolt on a chest harness then the set-up benefits from now complying with European standard EN358, allowing the harness to be used for rope access techniques.
