LiftingSafety offer many different products in our ROV and subsea lifting equipment online catalogue and are continually looking for new products that will be suitable for subsea underwater use and operation by a remote operated vehicle. The ROV is basically a submarine that is remote controlled and all the lifting equipment is bright coloured or fluorescent to assist the operator in correctly identifying the component parts in poor or artificial light underwater. For the purpose of operating lifting equipment the remote operated vehicle is fitted with a hydraulic controlled arm that can directly drive a hydraulic motor, it can rotate to operate a fishtail connection or operate lifting gear fitted with a torque bucket so that it can operate the piece of lifting equipment. In this category LiftingSafety offer a range of ROV shackles and hook assemblies from Hackett’s and Crosby, A LiftingSafety range of sub sea wire rope pulling and tensioning machines to 12 tonne capacity and also Subsea ROV chain hoists and subsea ratchet lever hoists for lifting, holding and tensioning loads.

A small range of Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) products, which have been specifically designed for ROV applications. Generally used in underwater and/or sub-sea exercises, these units are designed to be highly visible and easy to use. At this moment in time the only product types which we have online are shackles, hooks and chain blocks, all of which are competitively priced and are built by reputable manufacturers.

Crosby G209R ROV anchor shackles.

These shackles have capacities from 6.5 to 55 metric tonnes. They are forged - quenched and tempered, with alloy pins. The working load limit is permanently shown on every shackle. The also feature quick-check deformation and angle indicators forged on the bow.

All ROV shackle bows, unless otherwise noted are galvanised and then painted fluorescent yellow.

Anchor shackles with safety pin for underwater applications. Nominal shackle diameters from 22mm to 50mm. These shackles are designed specifically for ROV applications and are manufactured with the highest quality steel available. They are also individually stamped with the safe working load. Proof tested to 2 times the safe working load - test certs are provided. Painted white to ensure ease of sight in water.
Subsea Flourescent Eye Hooks. The range of Crosby ROV Sub-sea Fluorescent Eye Hooks are designed specifically for use in offshore installations and marine applications. They have the hook identification code stamped on each hook, all quenched and tempered and are fitted with the Crosby QUIC-CHECK® angle indicators forged into the top eye and deformation and angle indicators forged on the hook. They also have a fluorescent yellow finish for high "sub-sea" visibility.

These sling-eye hooks are designed specifically for ROV application and are manufactured with the highest quality steel available.
They are proof tested to 2 times the safe working load - test certs are provided and painted white to ensure ease of sight in water.

Crosby L562A ROV shank hook with a long hexagonal body for easy of manipulation by ROV devices. The Crosby L562A ROV shank hooks have a hook identification code stamped on each hook. They are quenched and tempered with QUIC-CHECK® angle indicators forged into the top eye and deformation and angle indicators forged on hook. Coloured fluorescent yellow for high visibility subsea they also possess a high cycle, long life spring. Pad eyes are provided on either side of hook as cable guides.

 

ROV eye shank hook for subsea applications.

This shank hook is designed specifically for ROV application and manufactured with the highest quality steel available.
Individually stamped with the safe working load and painted white to ensure ease of sight in water.. Proof tested to 2 times the safe working load - test certs are provided.

Lever Hoist designed specifically for under-water sub-sea use, though also probably one of the safest lever hoists for heavy industrial use.
Chain Hoist designed specifically for under-water (sub-sea) use, though also probably one of the safest chain hoists for heavy industrial use.

The Tiger "SS12 Sub-Sea Chain Hoist" is perfect for underwater use but can also be used above ground if needed, it comes completely corrosion resistant and can provide over 1000 hours of protection. The Hoist is manufactured to be lightweight and portable, with a rugged steel body and heat treated alloy hooks.

Hydraulic Cable Puller/Tensioner. (Soon to be available certified for Sub-sea / ROV lifting application) The versatile hydraulic cable pulling unit is suitable for a multitude of applications in many fields of industry where loads have to be moved or tension applied during erection, assembly or whilst carrying out other functions or work. Typical applications include: Pulling together of sub assembly structures for joining, pulling of pipes, ducts and jointing, tensioning of shuttering for construction work and moving of machinery, steelwork/structures etc. Demolition work, tensioning / pulling of cables, erection of structures/lifting frames. Underground pipe replacement and bursting operations. Not to be used for lifting applications.
Hydraulic Cable Puller / Tensioner. (Soon to be available certified for Sub-sea / ROV lifting application) Hydraulic Wire Rope Pulling Machine (Tirfor Style) 6t and 12t. A hydraulic pulling or tensioning machine that is operated from a 1500lbs (105bar) hydraulic power pack suitable for use in deep mines, offshore or other industries where conventional pulling equipment or winches are unavailable or cannot be accommodated. Features include: Self articulating anchor post swivels through 360 degrees, any length of pull - governed only by length of rope used. 12" (305mm) wire rope movement per ram cycle. Not to be used for lifting applications.
Hook suspended, subsea pneumatic / hydraulic chain blocks.

Standard units can be used to depths of 55 metres, however these units are also available to be used down to a water depth of 70m. Highly regarded as a very versatile hook suspended tool, they can also be used for horizontal and oblique use. Other capacities are available on request.

Available as air or hydraulically powered units, with variable speed control and overload protection as standard.

Remote controlled hydraulic release shackles, available in capacities from 150 tonne to over 1000 tonnes and over 2000m operation distance.

Abrasive resistant, lightweight, waterproof and extremely strong round slings. The Dyneema Material has a high resistance against chemicals combined with a very high cut and abrasion resistance, leading to an excellent performance product. The world's strongest fibre, Dyneema® is a super-strong polyethylene fibre that offers maximum strength combined with minimum weight. It is up to 15 times stronger than quality steel and up to 40% stronger than aramid fibres. Dyneema is a synthetic/manmade material that is used for making easy to handle large capacity lifting slings that are flexible,  lighter weight and much more compact than polyester slings; unlike polyester Dyneema has excellent wear resistant and anti-cut properties and is extremely strong.
