The new EZ Stop Retrax shock absorbing retractable lanyard is another DBI/SALA and PROTECTA innovation. For Safety's sake! The EZ Stop Retrax is the first shock absorbing lanyard that retracts automatically to fit the working area. It is a unique alternative to elasticized lanyards. Using a retraction technology similar to airport security lines, it retracts and expands smoothly and consistently from 2-1/2 to 6 feet (0.8 to 1.8m with karabiners). The retraction keeps the lanyard taut and close to the body at all times, reducing trip fall hazards, snagging on equipment and dragging.

It incorporates our popular shock type pack, tough polyester webbing and a polycarbonate thermoplastic retractor case. Versatile and strong, the EZ Stop Retrax lanyard utilizes 5,000 lb. (2,268 kg) rated hooks, available in a variety of sizes for jobsite flexibility - it will easily retract large hooks!

Retraction Adjustment

The EZ Stop Retrax enables the worker to adjust the retraction to a given length. Simply move the polycarbonate thermoplastic housing along the web to adjust the retraction between 2-1/2 and 6 feet (0.8 to 1.8m). This allows for greater flexibility at each jobsite.

Arresting Capabilities

The EZ Stop Retrax incorporates a unique tearing action when subjected to fall arrest forces. This efficiently absorbs energy, limiting the maximum arresting force to 900 lbs. (408 kg). It also provides the user with a visual indication that the device has been impact loaded.
