Threaded Steel Wire Rope Lifting Loop with Male Thread Options from 12mm to 42mm

Lifting loops used in the pre-cast concrete structure manufacturing and building industries to aid transportation and placement of structural components conveniently and safely.

Designed for long life, these lifting loops are manufactured from wire rope swaged firmly into an externally threaded steel ferrule which mates on application with a permanently inserted steel socket of the same thread form and size.

The recommended safe working load (SWL) is normally based on a 5 to 1 factor of safety of the wire rope minimum break loading, as per BS1290:1983.

Proof loading to 2 x (SWL) for the application is the normal practice. A test certificate is issued which can be easily referenced by an attached identification tag.

Lifting Loop Loading Angles

Use the correct load distribution basins for angles over 45 degrees. Ensure full thread length of lifting loop is engaged into socket prior to start of lifting. Use a suitable spreader beam when multi point lifting is required to and angle greater than 45 degrees.

Allow for reduced Safe Working Load (SWL) capacity as angel of pull is increased (see diagram). Ensure the crane hook is compatible with the loop 'eye' size. Do not use undue oversized or undersized hooks or pins as this can reduce the SWL and damage the strands and make up of the lifting loop.
