Yale Wire Rope Hoist

The Yale Global King wire rope hoists are built for the world market and combine over 130 years of experience with the latest manufacturing and materials technology, design standards, and the best quality components available. All Yale Global King hoists are built to meet and exceed FEM 2m duty rating, providing long life in heavy applications.

The range extends from 1.6t to 15t as standard and comes complete with a range of speed options to suit most applications. The Yale Global King is CE certified and each unit is tested to 125% of the normal working load, prior to despatch. Stocked at Yale Germany's manufacturing facility, these units are readily available. 

Note: Separate control panels and other beam flange widths are available upon request. Call for details.

Warning: Yale hoists and trolleys are not designed for passenger elevation applications and must not be used for this purpose.

Wire Rope Hoist Features

Hoist Motor and BrakeHoist motor & brake
  • High motor rating and duty cycles.
  • Protected to IP55, insulation class F
  • Motor located outside the rope drum, allowing cooling and serviceability.
  • Motor temperature control as standard.
  • Low maintenance brake, no adjustment necessary, protected to IP65.
Traction driveTraction drive
  • Ideal handling characteristics, as two wheels are driven, one on each side of the frame. Trolley wheels mounted on lubricated, encapsulated ball bearings.
  • The cambered profile is suitable for parallel and inclined beam profiles.
  • Worm gear drive for smooth starting and stopping at two speeds.
  • Extremely low headroom.
Rope guideRope guide
  • Enclosed low wear rope guide made from reinforced polyamide.
  • The rope guide ensures correct alignment and tensioning of the rope through 3600 in order to avoid slack rope and subsequent damage to the rope.
Rope drive and bottom blockRope drive & bottom block
  • Optimised proportion of drum and wheel diameter for low wear and tear of the rope.
  • Flexible and long-life steel rope.
  • Easily accessible drum for quick rope exchange.
  • Robust bottom block made of glass reinforced polyamide.
  • Rotating and tiltable load hook trunnion style for easier load adjustment and positioning.

  • The rope can be exchanged and maintained quickly due to three screwed rope clamps and an asymmetrical wedge socket. The open design allows easy maintenance.
Geared limit switchesGeared limit switches
  • The geared limit switch for the upper and lower hook position is conveniently located to allow ease of access, even when the hoist is installed and is protected by an aluminium gear case.
Adjustment to beam flangeAdjustment to beam flange
  • Simple adjustment of the trolley to a wide range of beam flange widths by threaded spindle.
Overload protection deviceOverload protection device
  • The overload protection device prevents lifting excessive load.
