The RGB1 is a work positioning/restraint belt. This belt is fitted with two side mounted dee rings for ease of attachment and the back pad provides some lumber support.
The RGB1 is normally used in conjunction with an RGL5 restraint lanyard, or a rope and grab system. Traditionally this item has been used by loading crews at docks, on ships, and container handling areas.
However it has more recently been used to access and perform roof maintenance, where the restraint system prevents the user from stepping over an exposed edge and there is no other fall hazard.
It is important that a client understands the differnce between fall arrest and restraint before using this item.
