The Blocmat is designed to protect equipment, such as lighting trusses, roller shutter door and machinery, from the effects of a fall. The blocmat is used as a secondary safety device to arrest the load following unexpected failure of the primary load bearing system.

The wire rope feeds from a sprung reeler through a speed sensitive Blocstop which automatically grips the rope when the speed exceeds the threshold of 18m/min. The device is fitted to a fixing to a fixing plate which can be anchored to steelwork and concrete. etc.
