This is our extra heavy duty workshop floor crane, the design is more robust than our range of folding floor cranes and has a greater maximum capacity; 5000kg compared with 2000kg for the folding design.

The rigid leg design is very stable as there no hinges on the legs and can be supplied with many options to suit your working environment. Because of its heavy duty construction is particularly suited to extreme environments / work places where the application requires a robust crane with greater lifting capability and stability.

The Fixed parallel design is equally as portable as our folding design though it is less suitable if the crane is required to be move into other working areas or over longer distances though we do also offer a fully modular version "our modular knock down Crane".

The heavy duty rigid leg floor crane can be supplied with a removable vertical mast, horizontal lifting arm and hydraulics. This is referred to as our export version because it is more easily packed for export orders.

Floor Cranes With Spark Resistant Features / Explosion proof.

For Floor cranes to be used in potentially explosive areas / atmospheres such as Zone 1 or 2, SELS can include any anti-sparking features that our customers specify - this will increase its anti-sparking properties and therefore make the crane more suitable for use in a potentially explosive environment!

SELS will not to take the responsibility of supplying our floor cranes described as 'spark proof' as this is ‘too broad’ a term. We believe that total compliance is probably impossible because of the mechanical operation and movement of a floor crane; i.e. we cannot offer a 100% guarantee that no part of the assembly is capable of generating a spark which could ignite a flame!  IE: SELS will supply / manufacture cranes with anti sparking features to our customer’s requirements though will not certified them as sparkproof / explosion proof. Our cranes have been successfully supplied to customers in the offshore Oil and Gas industry in the UK on this basis.

Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Fixed Column Floor Cranes

This is our Stainless Extra heavy Duty workshop floor crane, the design is almost identical to the standard floor cranes (made from mild steel) being equally robust and has many different sizes and safe working loads to choose from with SWL from 500kg to a maximum capacity of 3000kg (5000kg as a special).

Stainless steel construction is far more expensive though, is suitable for applications where a standard crane will prematurely fail or cause contamination; superior corrosion resistance, for offshore use, in chemical plants, the pharmaceutical and food production industries etc...
This rigid leg design (non folding) is very stable though still portable(for applications where the crane is needed in multiple locations)

We also make this stainless steel heavy duty floor Crane in a modular knock down version.
