Camlok Drum Clamp can be used single clamp on sealed or empty drums, 2 clamps and chain sling on open drums.

Camlok DC500 In Use

  • Suitable for drum types class S20031, 2 & 3 with a wall thickness greater than 1.125mm.

DC500 Drum Clamp

This range of clamps permit the safe handling of all types of flanged drums with or without lids.
DC350 and DC500 clamps can be used to lift sealed drums on their own, if an open drum is to be lifted without spilling the contents, two clamps can be used with either a two leg chain sling (DC500 only) or a small lifting beam and two slings.

Restrictions

The clamp is not suitable for materials over 120° surface temperature. The working load limit of the clamp should be as close as possible to the actual load to be lifted.This ensures that the clamp is working at maximum efficiency. Loads below 20% of the working load limit should be avoided. Extra care must be taken when lifting drums of less than 20% of the rated jaw capacity. if an open drum is to be lifted without spilling the contents two clamps can be used with either a two leg chain sling (DC500 only) or a small lifting beam and two slings.
