AD515 Retreival Block

Retractable "self retracting lifeline" (SRL). Fall Arrest Block with 15m Cable and Integrated Rescue Winch. Conforms to EN360 & EN1496

This fall arrest inertia reel is manufactured by Protecta, part of the Sala group of height safety companies. The AD515 fall arrest inertia reel with built in hand winch provides both an initial fall arrest solution and also acts as a rescue device, should the worker have an accident or become ill while working. This block can be used to raise or lower a casualty in the event of an emergency to a point of safety though it can not be used for access and egress as a manriding winch; to clarify, the winch is only permissible for emergency use after a fall is arrested to retrieve the casualty or for rescue. Protecta say that it is particularly suited to confined space rescue and can be used on in conjunction with the Protecta tripod.
