Made from forged alloy steel - quenched & tempered. Available in 2 sizes: 3-1/4 tons (2" webbing) and 4-1/2 tons (3" webbing). Design factor of 5 to 1. Each connector has a product identification code (PIC) for materials traceability along with a Working Load Limit and the name Crosby forged into it. Special design of hook protects the synthetic sling when dropped or dragged. Designed to reduce friction, abrasion, and fraying in choker area. Uses the same spool and cover as the S-280 Web Connector.

Adds maximum versatility a round slings and flat webbing slings. Simply thread the roundsling or the eye of a flat webbing sling into the J hook, without the need for any tools and then attach the hook to the lifting point of the materials to be lifted. Then place the flat sling or round sling over the crane hook and its ready to lift. All J Hooks are colour coded by capacity to match the colour of a lifting sling e.g. Purple sling = purple J hook.
