Lifting Equipment and Height Safety Equipment
There are two main areas which Selby Engineering cover in their on-line catalogue range for the industrial and commercial market.
The first and major area of coverage is lifting equipment, which covers the likes of chain hoists, including hand chain hoists, electric hoists, pneumatic hoists and hydraulic hoists. Online we also have a huge range of cranes and davits which are also regarded as a main product range for us at Selby Engineering and Lifting Safety, this range including items such as floor cranes, swing jib cranes all the way to overhead crane systems.
The second main area of equipment which SELS are a supplier for is height safety equipment, which in itself is also a very large range of safety equipment covering the like of harnesses and working at height safety systems. Also included in the height safety / fall arrest catalogue are units such as fall protection equipment with the likes of man-riding equipment, davit arm cranes, personal fall limiters, fall arrest blocks and a wide range of rescue equipment and accessories.
Buying and Quoting Online
Around 70% of our online product range is priced and available to buy online but still available for quotation also, the other 30% are either marked with a guide price, to give some kind of rough indication as to the cost of a unit or marked up as quote only which means the price for a particular item changes so often that it is not feasible to price it on-line. If you require an item which requires a quotation this is not necessarily a bad thing, the reason it's a good thing is because over 90% of quotations sent out by Selby Engineering are sent with additional list price discounts, with even larger discounts available based on the size of the quotation.
